THE PROBLEM

With the always evolving space of home décor, it is always imperative to stay on top of the current and future trends. It is also imperative to evaluate these trends and extrapolate what is relevant to the target consumer. Bath hardware trends are generally downstream from faucet and lighting design so understanding these markets is very important. Any bath hardware solution must blend with current styles and finish trends, provide uniqueness in a crowded store set, and at an affordable price for a home center consumer.

THE SOLUTION

The two bath hardware collections, Lorent and Lucien, draw mainly from faucet trends and finish trends within the bathroom space. Each collection has an 18” & 24” towel bar, tissue holder, towel ring, and robe hook.

Matte black is huge at the moment and has gone mainstream. The selection of this finish fills gaps in the store set and allows for easy coordination with existing bath faucets. There is also an increase in square faucets, which drove the form of the Lorent collection. This collection uses traditional design cues, but leaves the embellishment understated, which is really where the traditional form trends are currently.

Simplicity is a macro trend and the Lucien collection showcases modern simplicity with a refined softness. This collection is very versatile in coordinating with faucets and lighting while bridging multiple style preferences.

THE RESULT

The Lorent and Lucien started off strong in a regional in-store test, and quickly spread to most Home Depot stores across the nation. The thoughtful trend-inspired designs provide the customers a unique combination of style and finish that stand out in the purchase bay.

Whether you are looking to update the master bathroom or add sophistication to your powder room, the Lorent and Lucien collections.
